Before you rent a chalet in 4vallees you maybe want to know where it is situated. You find the 4 vallees in the Canton of Valais (Wallis in German), one of the 26 cantons of Switserland, in the southwestern part of the country around the valley of the Rhône from its headwaters to Lake Geneva. It's a region of 4000 metre peaks, the twelve largest glaciers and a multitude of Alpine passes.

In the Sunniest region of Switserland, you will discover breathtaking scenery stretching out over the valley. It's probably best known for the Matterhorn and ski resorts such as Zermatt or Verbier.

 

As soon as the first snow falls, the 4vallees becomes a winter sports paradise. The Four Valleys is the name of the biggest ski resort of Switserland with a good 410 km of piste ( 5 stars) and more than 90 lifts and railways, linking the stations of Verbier, Nendaz, Veysonnaz, Thyon and La Tzoumaz.

 

        

 

Most of the runs are not too difficult, but in the surroundings of Verbier you find some superheavy ones. Moreover, there is still 79 km not-preparated pistes to challenge for the more expierenced skiër or snowboarder. A cableway opens up the top of the Mont Fort at a height of 3330  metres. From here there is a fantastic view to the Matterhorn, Grand Combin and Mont Blanc.
