Winter-4 vallees is Great Fun

 

As the Autumn turns away the 4 valleys wakes up from his sleep , and will turn into a fantastic winter-4vallees sport-paridise. The quatre vallees is the name of this immense ski resort with 410 km of ski- pistes. There are more than 90 lifts and railways that will link the stations Verbier, La Tzoumaz, Nendaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon.

 

The most pistes are not to difficult , and easy to do with the family, but in the surroundings Verbier  ( Mont Fort ), you have some "superheavy"ones. Not only there are 412 km of prepared pistes, there are 79 non prepared pistes, so for every ski-level you have plenty of opportunities to show your skills. For the snowboarder you have in the Verbier Area a very challenging Park called The Essert Fun Park, witch you see a lot in the U-tube video of the 4-vallees.

 

      

 

It is not only the skiing and the snowboarding that is great in the winter-4vallees, You have other trendy sports such as snowtubbing, snowcross and snowcarting. Or you can also enjoy the winter landscape without skis along the snowshoe and winter hiking trails or on two 10km long toboggan pistes.

 If you like to seek more relaxing activities , there is a famous welness center in the Sion area, wich you can combinate with a visit to the capital of wallis Sion.It has a nice shopping area surrounded by beautiful colored old houses.Or go simply to one the 4vallees villages , and take a glas of cool fendant wine by a meal of raclette cheese at the end of the day.

The wide range of winter sports available reflects the variety of this unique stretch of country, and the Valais will never fail to charm you.
